This instrument is suitable for measuring the apparent viscosity of engine oil. Its testing principle is to use a DC motor to drive a rotor that closely matches the stator, fill the space between the rotor and the stator with the sample, and adjust the coolant flow through the stator. flow rate to maintain the test temperature and correct the DC motor speed as a function of viscosity. The viscosity of the sample is determined from the correction result and the speed of the DC motor.
